 Madame Chantal studied English and Spanish at Nice University  France and  has nearly 40 years experience of teaching French to children. She has previously worked at St Helens school in Northwood and has been working at Northwood College for 27 years. She has been our French teacher for 16 years.

 

 

 

Our twice weekly French lesson introduces our children to another language and involved learning to introduce themselves in French, numbers up to 20, basic shapes, colours, opposites, days of the week, months of the year, seasons and to discuss the weather. They also learn fruits and vegetables, names of animals, parts of the body and what they are wearing.

 

 

 

At the end of each lesson children sign and dance to french songs and rhymes. These songs are performed as part of our yearly Christmas play.
